Welcome to Army Public School - Baraub

Army Goodwill School, Baraub was founded on 14 Jan 2010 and was formally inaugurated by Brig Sanjay Ahuja, then Cdr 109 Infantry Brigade on 19 Apr 2010, under Op Sadhbhavana. The school was founded for the children of Tuleil Valley, Gurez (J&K) as a goodwill gesture to provide quality education to the children of this remote area at a reasonable fee and as part of changing the perception of local public towards the larger prospects of national integration. At the time of opening of school, there were only 55 students in Class-I and two teachers. Gradually, the school became popular, and a class each was added every year and till date school has grown up to Class -V. The present strength of AGS, Baraub is 93 students from class LKG to Class-V. The school is affiliated to the J&K State Board of Education and the medium of instruction is English. The school has been recognized by the J&K State Government. The School is being managed by the Baraub Infantry Battallion under the aegis of 109 Infantry Brigade and has established itself as a premiere institution amongst local populace.
